And what a week! Iu2019ve posted music every day and the response has been incredible! Thanks for all the follows, likes, reposts, and zaps! Thanks also for the conversations, ideas, and inspiration. Nostr is such a great place to be a musician, and I feel like Iu2019m just getting started! ud83dudc9cnnI wanted to do a proper introduction. So, my name is Matthias McIntire, Iu2019m a composer, improviser, violinist, violist, sometimes pianist, music educator, and more. As both a composer and performer, I have a really eclectic background u2014 in classical music, contemporary weird music, jazz, fiddle, free improv, field recording, electronic and ambient music. I compose music for acoustic instruments and ensembles, with and without electronics, such as orchestra, string quartet, percussion, piano, woodwinds, harp and more.nnMy music is inspired by personal expression, emotion, collaboration, nature, birds and animals, making field recordings, colourful things, stars, the many musical genres I love, feelings of mystery in the world, travel, and technology. nnWith all thatu2026 what content would you like to see from me? So far I have shared improvisations, fiddle tunes, and turning your ideas into little pieces/improvs.nnI plan to continue all of this and, honestly, I could keep doing just that forever! But Iu2019ve had some other sorts of ideas, e.g. incorporate piano, show BTS of my creative process, u201ccompose with meu201d, showing the weird instruments Iu2019ve collected, demo or how to videosu2026 andu2026?nnI also plan to release recordings on Nostr.
